Ansari’s Carrot Cakes began long before it became a business. In 1976, Bashir Ansari first learned how to bake while working in a bakery in Elmhurst, New York. What started as hands-on experience quickly became a lifelong skill—one rooted in consistency, quality, and care. After returning to Massachusetts, Bashir continued baking for family gatherings, cookouts, and community events. Whether it was Friday night fish fries or weekend celebrations, his cakes became a regular request. People didn’t just enjoy them—they expected them. Over time, one thing became clear: this wasn’t just baking—it was something people valued, remembered, and kept coming back for.
